Caernarfon Castle Outing Saturday 5th October
Parish Outing to
Caernarfon and the
Welsh Highland Railway
Saturday 5th October 2019
Our coach will leave St. Peter’s Church at 9.00 a.m. for a journey along the North Wales coast to Caernarfon where there will be time to have a look round this historic town with its medieval castle, and perhaps find some lunch.
We then board our reserved coach on the Welsh Highland narrow- gauge steam train for a ride of over two hours through stunning scenery. If visibility is good we should be able to see the summit of Snowdon before we call at Beddgelert and go through the Aberglaslyn Pass. On arrival at Porthmadog we rejoin our road coach to return to Woolton, where we should arrive by about 7.45 p.m.
Light refreshments will be available at your seat on the train.
There is a toilet on the coach, and also on the train.
This trip costs rather more due to our having to pay for both the coach and the train. However we feel sure that you will find it good value for money, so start saving up!
Adult £35
Child £15
