Adult Baptism & Confirmation

In Autumn we have some opportunities for people to declare or reaffirm their faith in Jesus through baptism or confirmation.

Baptism

Baptism is where somebody decides they want to follow Jesus and commit to a way of life journeying with him in faith. As part of this service the person will make promises, be anointed with oil as a sign of God's blessing and baptised by full immersion, as a sign of following Jesus. On Sunday 22nd November at 10:30am we will be offering adult baptism and renewal of baptism vows (for those already baptised) at our church.

Confirmation

Confirmation is where somebody has been baptised as a child chooses to take those baptism vows for themselves and confirms their faith. This is a special service led by the Bishop who prays for the gift of the Holy Spirit on those being confirmed. This service will be on Wednesday 7th October at Springwood Church.
