Church Services

Throughout the week at St Peter’s we have several opportunities for people to gather together for worship.

Sundays

8.00am
These are quiet, reflective Holy Communion services. There’s no music and so there is time and space to be still, hear the Bible and reflect on God’s word and then receive bread and wine. On the first Sunday of the month this is a traditional service using the Book of Common Prayer and the other Sundays we use Common Worship.

10.30am
This is our main service and it is a lively, family service where all ages are welcome. The music is led by a combination of our excellent band and hymns on the organ and this service provides an opportunity to encounter the presence of God through music, silence, hearing the Bible and prayer. On the first Sunday of the month we have Holy Communion in this service and some Sundays this service includes a baptism. Most weeks during term time (except when there is a baptism), there are groups available for children and young people to help them explore faith and build relationships in an age-appropriate way.

Thursdays

11.00am
This is a beautiful service held in our centenary rooms at the back of church (walk past the main entrance and come in through one of the glass doors at the back). This service is a traditional service of Holy Communion from the Book of Common Prayer, but is highly relational and has a strong sense of fellowship as well as peace and space to reflect.

All are welcome at any of our services.
