Christian Aid Week 11th to 17th May 2025
There are lots of ways to get involved in this year’s Christian Aid Week! You can:
- Come along to our Quiz Night on Friday 25th April. Please bring your own drinks and nibbles and arrive from 7.45pm to start at 8pm. It would help us to know numbers in advance so please reserve tickets online here or let the Hub know you’re coming (0151 4286810). You can pay on the door (£5 for adults, concession £3 and £2 for children). You are welcome to come in a group or as you are – we’ll sort out teams on the night!
- Volunteer at the Christian Aid stall at the Farmers’ Market on Saturday 10th May for an hour between 9am and 1pm.
- Encourage and sponsor our children and young people as they take part in the St Peter’s Walk for Justice challenge during the children’s groups on Sunday 11th May. If you are a parent of a child in First Steps, Smiley, JAM or Pathfinders, please ensure your child is wearing suitable shoes (and has a waterproof if needed!) if they would like to take part (children are also welcome to encourage others from the side lines if they prefer!).
- Give at the Christian Aid stall at the back of church on Sunday 11thMay after the 8am and 10.30am services and after the 10.30am service on Sunday 18th May. You can use cash or your bank card.
- Pray for an end to poverty using your own prayers or these Christian Aid prayers.
- Act by calling on the UK Government to make polluters pay for the climate crisis. Sign Christian Aid’s petition here.
There is something for everyone so please join us this Christian Aid Week!
Contact Sarah Beresford on [email protected] if you would like further information about any of these activities.
Together, we can help people facing hunger and hardship access vital resources to protect their families, feed their communities, and fight back against the effects of the climate crisis.
