Minnows

Our pre-school group meets during term time, in the Church Hall, on Mondays and Thursdays from 1.30pm to 3pm. We offer free play, crafts, playdough, storytime and songs, a drink and a snack for children and a cuppa and a biscuit for the adults. Cost is £2 per family, no booking required.

Crèche – 10.30am Sundays

During the 10.30am Sunday service, a crèche is available for children aged 0-3 years in the Centenary Room at the back of the church. The crèche is run by DBS-checked helpers, enabling you to return to worship while your little one has fun nearby. Whilst some parents do stay, we would encourage you to enjoy some time and space with God for yourselves. If your child is unsettled or you are needed, then one of the helpers will come and get you. The session is mainly open play and a simple craft, and finishes with children’s worship songs and some favourite nursery songs.

Crèche – 8am Sundays – Coming soon!

We are really excited to be able to provide a children’s provision for our 8am service. Located at the back of the church in the Centenary Room, we will provide a space during term-time where children aged 3+ can be looked after whilst parents/carers can enjoy and participate in the service. For 20/30 minutes (during the Bible reading and finishing before Holy Communion) our amazing DBS-checked volunteers will help children grow in their faith and love for God, and build friendships. This will include a story, game/activity/craft based on the theme of the service. We will also finish with a prayer for the children as they continue with their day and faith.

First Steps

First Steps is for children aged 3-5 years and meets in the main room of the Simon Peter Centre during the 10.30 service (unless it is an all-age service). Children arrive through the rear door between 10.15am and 10.30am. Through play, songs, stories, prayer and crafts, First Steps aims to show children how Jesus wants to be their special friend.

Smiley Club

Smiley Club is for children aged 5–7 and is held on Sunday mornings at the Simon Peter Centre. All children meet in church at 10.30am for the all-age section of the main service, and after about 20 minutes, they leave church, with their leaders, for their own group activities. We have lots of fun and games. We love to dress up and act, sing songs, make lots of things, and have a great time.

JAM Club

JAM stands for Jesus and me and is for children in Years 2 to 5. Anything can happen in the Jam club, from games to creative stuff to drama and getting active! We meet in the church hall on Sundays during term time.
