Attendance Registration Update from Lizzy

If at some point you may want a church form to support a faith school application for primary or secondary school you will need to join the church register. You do this by emailing the first and surnames of any adults and children to the parish office (parishadmin@stpeters-woolton.org.uk) and they will be added to the next register which is now printed monthly. In the meantime go to the desk to sign in at a service and the person on the desk will handwrite your names onto the register for those weeks.

Please note that the week you join the register is noted as the beginning of your time attending St Peter’s when it comes to school forms so please do join as soon you begin attending.

When you come to a service on a Sunday please go to the desk at the back of church and give your names to the steward. School forms may ask for both adult and child attendance so please do make sure both a parent and the child sign in. You only need one parent to sign in with a child when you come to a service.

At the beginning of the year the register will be updated and anyone who hasn’t ever signed in will have their names removed and anyone who has received a secondary school form will have their names removed as well to prevent the register continuing to grow each year.

If your child has had their secondary school forms completed you no longer need to sign in.

If you have received a primary school form you will need to continue to sign in when you come to church if you would like a secondary school form. Please be aware that some secondary schools adjusted their forms last year to ask for 4 rather than 3 years so just make sure you sign in whenever you attend so we have the data for as many years as possible for when you require a form.

If your child is currently in year 5 and you are thinking about them applying to a faith school for secondary school the requests for church forms will be open from September this year so please keep an eye on our social media, newsletter and notices in church for information about dates.

If your child will be looking to begin reception in 2027 and you are thinking of applying to a faith school you will be able to request a church form from November this year so please keep an eye out for more information and dates.

If your child is intending to move schools this year to a faith school you may need a church attendance form so please just contact myself or the parish office and we will get this completed for you.

Please note that when we complete the church attendance forms the data that is used is the register attendance so it is your responsibility to make sure that yourself and your child are signed in each time you attend.
