We are members of the Guiding Association, aged 10 upwards who meet on a Friday night in St Peter's Church Hall. We have a varied and fun programme both outdoors and in. We are keen to try our hand at new skills - some of us have been windsurfing - we try and remember old skills - how should we put a sling on? We've honed our chatting ability into learning to debate!
Last term we looked at independent living. We've looked at different ways of learning - by ourselves, in pairs, patrols or together as the Company. The highlight of this topic was a weekend away at Llangollen Youth Hostel, where we had a Christmas weekend, eating Christmas dinner, making crafts for Christmas and enjoying a walk in the fresh country air.
6th Liverpool Guides meet on a Friday night in St Peter's Church Hall between 7.30 and 9.00 pm during term time. At the moment there is a waiting list of girls wishing to join.
